We are recruiting for a visionary Programme Planning Lead to work on Wales & Western Buildings and Stations Capital Delivery Framework.

Reporting to the Framework Director, the role will sit within the Framework Leadership Team.

You'll be working on. (what your role and responsibility is)

Team: Oversee and lead the programme controls team function within the FLT, monitoring for accuracy and consistency of plans, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting, and deploying available team resources to best effect.

People:Plan, develop and lead high performing teams: to ensure programme planning objectives and targets to be achieved.

Relationships: Build and nurture strong long-term relationships with our customers, communicating progress, resolving any customer concerns and encouraging proactive collaboration for mutual benefit.

Manage all programme planning within the Framework: Govern planning standards across the project teams, generating weekly, monthly and quarterly programme forecasts dovetailing all portfolios and projects within the Framework to forecast business requirements.

Integration with other functions: Develop and manage links between programmes and the cost estimates, supporting financial forecasting, monitoring and the control of project costs, driving cost reporting and commercial awareness, while always challenging the status quo. Gather and collate progress information and reasons for any deviations/delays.

Contract administration: Take ownership in the preparation and maintenance of programmes in accordance with each contract requirement (i.e. NEC4), and ensure live as-built project programmes are maintained, ensuring they are programmed to a level of detail necessary for project teams to deliver projects without delays, while driving best value

You'll bring(your wealth of experience & qualifications)

Experience:


  • Extensive skills in the use of modern technology and systems, such as advanced experience in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and alike and an ability to adapt to new technology and systems.
  • Good all round rail infrastructure knowledge and experience of NEC 3 or
  • Experience of Primavera Risk / Quantitive Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA).
  • Experience in the rail industry, in a planning capacity, operating within a leadership team.
  • Microsoft Office 365 Levels 13

Qualifications:


  • A relevant higher education qualification, such as a certificate, diploma, or a degree (i.e., Civil Engineering, Construction Project Management)
