Description

This is a great opportunity for a Band 4 Associate Sleep Practitioner to join the newly established Dorset Sleep Service. The service offers Sleep Diagnostics and CPAP Therapy for Dorset residents in collaboration with the respiratory team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.

  • Full-time role during office hours with flexible working options
  • Possibility for job-sharing
  • Potential opportunity to train as a Respiratory Physiologist
  • Requirements: 5 GCSEs including English and Maths, Level 3 qualification, excellent interpersonal skills, good IT skills, attention to detail, organization, and enthusiasm for healthcare
  • Background in healthcare and familiarity with sleep studies, Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, and CPAP therapy

Dorset Sleep Service Overview:

  • Starting in Autumn 2023
  • Providing diagnostic sleep studies and CPAP treatment
  • Anticipated annual volume of 1,700 sleep studies initially
  • Expected to care for around 5,000 CPAP patients initially
  • Team structure includes Administrators, Sleep Practitioners, and a Head of Department overseen by a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine
