MacTaggart Scott are looking to recruit a Supplier Quality Coordinator to work in our Quality Department.

Role:


The purpose of the role is to support the MTS Quality Manager, Assistant Quality Manager and Supplier Quality Engineer deliver the appropriate level of supplier quality.

The key objectives of the role to meet planned documentation requirements for the Quality Department Activity and Customer Order Deliverables and reporting progress as required.

This role reports directly into the Quality Manager.


Duties will include:


  • Visiting supplier facilities on occasion and performing a release inspection.
  • Visiting supplier facilities on occasion to witness tests and inspections on products in accordance with MTS contractual Quality requirements.
  • Reviewing documentation from vendors monitoring any defects found to ensure that items are free to run at MTS on receipt.
  • Taking part in quality audits where required to ensure suppliers continue to work in compliance with MTS contractual requirements.
  • Audits (Audit training will be supplied if required).
  • Interacts with suppliers, customers, and visitors.
  • Review Supplier Contract review to ensure MTS Quality Requirements can be met.
  • In accordance with the MTS Quality Management system assisting in collating monitoring and resolving supplier defects and nonconformances (Task Requests / SCARs / NCR's/CAPA). The reports and analysis on supplier quality, defect rates and areas of required improvement

Performs clerical duties, including, but not limited to the following:

  • Photocopies, scans, files, and compiles applicable Supplier Quality documentation.
  • Initial review of Material, NDT, Welding, Load Test, Test, Dimensional and Paint Certification, etc from the supply chain.
  • Use of Nitro Pro to add stamps and document numbers. Ensuring Suppliers Material Certification is scanned and attached into the ERP (IFS) system as required and that any Quality Control forms are completed and scanned as appropriate.
  • The upkeep of supplier accreditations' and assessments in support of the QMS.
  • Audits (Audit training will be supplied if required).
  • May be required to type, meeting notes, and forms among other documents.
  • The Supplier Quality Coordinator may be required to undertake other quality related tasks within his or her capability as required.
