Our client is an innovative, forward thinking and exciting company who are committed to the assessment, manufacture and provision of specialist seating and mobility products and services to NHS and private clients across the UK.

They have a modern manufacturingfacility at our Totton Head Office that manufactures bespoke specialist wheelchair seating systems. Every seat is individually made and sized to the patient, conforming to the highest quality standards.


The warehouse operative has responsibility for ensuring the efficient operation of the Warehouse, ensuring stocks are maintained, managed and handled correctly and levels of required stocks are maintained.


Fostering a culture of safe working is essential in this role and the Warehouse operator is expected to demonstrate commitment to this.

They are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join the team, duties will include

  • Stocks to be stored in correct locations
  • Stocks to be picked correctly
  • Stocks to be labelled with part numbers and serial numbers
  • Stock checking as and when required
  • Stocks to be ordered as and when required
  • Ensure the delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production schedules.
  • Ensure inventories in their area of responsibility are accurate at all times.
  • Ensure stock movements are always recorded accurately.
  • Support and participate in stock takes at regular intervals.
  • Ensure that any computerised or automated systems are accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure the correct and accurate picking of stock as requested
  • Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change.
  • Resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse. Where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level.
  • Ensure that health and safety meet the required standards and carry out risk assessments

Requirements:


  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT skills, in particular spreadsheets and databases and a knowledge of warehouse systems
  • Previous Warehouse experience would be preferred
  • Must be able to work off own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail skills
