We're looking for a keen and motivated placement year student to join our Economics department as part of our 2024 Economics Placement Year programme.

Whether it's helping our portfolio managers and analysts inform their investment decisions or providing content for our client communications, the work we do is crucial.
The programmeWhat you'll be like
Some of the characteristics we look for in our Economics Placement year students include:
- Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- A desire to get involved in variety of tasks and projects
- Numerate and inquisitive
- A growth mindset: we understand you may make mistakes, and when you do, we are looking for you to learn from these.
- Interested in macroeconomics, financial markets and current affairs
- Degree being studied
- Itemised list of all degree modules (first and second year) core modules plus options and grades to date
- If you studied Alevel in Maths and grade
- Relevant work experience
- Benefit from a series of immersive and engaging training sessions equipping you with the skills you need to adapt to the world of work, hit the ground running and make an impact training covers industry knowledge, technical and soft skills training
- Attend "Lunch and Learns/ "Coffee Hours" led by senior people across the business your chance to build contacts in the industry and grow your professional network
- Access to a buddy we'll match you with a graduate buddy where you'll be supported during the first few weeks of your programme, helping you to integrate into the team and the business
- Group Project work with a small group of interns on a current or strategic topic and presenting to managers at the end of the programme
- Access to Employee Assistance Programme providing you with access to 24 hour confidential telephone counselling and a comprehensive online source of information on a range of issues, including Mental Health
