Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? We are looking for Equipment Officers to join our expanding team within Hertfordshire Equipment Service.
We work with prescribers, and a range of professionals, across adult social care and NHS organisations to meet the equipment needs of adults and children across the county.
Equipment officers work as part of the specials team within Hertfordshire Equipment Service.Our Equipment Officers ensure that robust quality assurance and safety processes are adhered to in the provision, maintenance, refurbishment, and delivery of specialist items of equipment for children and adults with often complex needs.
Equipment Officers ensure that equipment is assembled to meet the identified needs/specifications set out in the order from the prescribing professional and undertake checks to ensure the equipment is safe to use.
Equipment Officers will liaise with prescribers where there may be an alternative piece of equipment already in stock which would meet the clients need.
Once equipment is assembled and ready for delivery the equipment officers must ensure the correct instruction manuals, specialist notes and do not use label (if required) are with the equipment for delivery.
The role also involves ensuring that the appropriate checks are carried out on returned equipment to ensure its suitability for recycling.
Additional Information
Wide range of practical experience, or the desire to learn, in the assembly, maintenance and repair of specialist equipment for children and adults.
Excellent customer service and communication skillsProcess and procedure driven approach with an eye for detail
Meticulous approach to work and an ability to prioritise work on a daily basis
Good knowledge of Microsoft office and confident with using new IT systems and software
Understanding of the need to recycle equipment and an appreciation of the benefits to the service
Knowledge of health and safety and risk assessment
Ability to use own initiative and work both independently and as part of a wider team.
