IT Security Specialist

Remote Based

Salary:
£70,000

12 Month Fixed Term Contract


As IT Security Specialist you will enjoy working or learning about
infrastructure operations which is core to this particular role.


Experience / Skills Required
*Outstanding written and verbal communication skills - being able to communicate complex technical security matters & their associated risks to colleagues, irrespective of their level in the organisation and technical knowledge.

*Network access control (NAC) - prior exposure or experience to this or other NAC

*A natural curiosity to identify areas of IT security flaws. Tenacity in seeking remediation's without impacting business operations.

*Exposure to a wide variety of client and server endpoint security solutions covering Windows clients - all supported versions


Desirable Skills / Experience
*Entire MS security stack as part of the E5 license agreement

*ForeScout

*SIEM / SOAR products

*Linux Operating Systems

*Managing and / or securing cloud platforms

*Mix of SaaS, IaaS & PaaS from different providers.

*Developing policy and procedural documentation to support governance and compliance initiatives


Job Role
*Lead investigations into suspected and actual breaches of information security / IT security incidents and undertake reporting/remedial actions as required.

*Maintain regulatory compliance against prescribed standards i.e., 27001 Certification, NHS Data protection & Security Toolkit including the management of internal and external audit programmes and the ensuing action plans.

*First response to escalated IT security related tickets raised at service desk provider.

*Maintain compliance with the Global cyber metrics - 24 technical security controls covering all areas of the business.

*Provide information security advice, education and awareness across the group ensuring colleagues are given the knowledge to manage their personal information security risk.
