Job Overview:


  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am 5pm
- £11.9- 3 weeks cover work


General Overview:

Working morning or evening shift at Loughborough University in the London campus's main reception.


Reception duties

  • Greeting, directing university guests and answering enquiries.
  • Answering the main switchboard telephone for the building in a professional and timely manner and using a database to make reservations received from various sources.
  • Make up swipe card for entry into buildings and rooms, using propriety software.
  • Report defects to Engie Helpdesk. Receiving mail.
  • Monitor BMS and fire alarm system.
  • To deal with all enquiries to Engie Reception desk.
  • Receptionist to attend identified training.
  • Liaise with clients daily.
  • Ability to adapt to operational needs and perform any other adhoc tasks which Loughborough University may require.

Impact:


  • Ensuring the ongoing day to day running of Loughborough reception.
  • Dealing with clients/customers in a polite and professional manner.
  • Receptionist is the front of house for Loughborough and therefore represents the University.
  • Receptionist is the first point of call and can impact the safety of students and staff.

Complexity:


  • Being able to prioritise workload.
  • Reception can be very busy at peak times but same level of service must be delivered.
  • Customer requirements change and reception must evolve with this and meet their expectations.

Qualifications or Required Experience:

Good IT skills. Being able to communicate at all levels; client, customer and suppliers. Flexibility, being able to manage own workload and working to deadlines.
