Description

An established day nursery in Ealing, West London is looking for a Nursery Manager to join its team on a contract basis for maternity cover but with the possibility of becoming permanent.

The nursery can accommodate approximately 60 children (currentlynot at full capacity) and open each day for 51 weeks a year from 8am - 6pm Mon - Fri.

They believe in offering children the best start in life by adopting the Montessori philosophy in line with EYFS method.


As Nursery Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • The internal organisation, management, and control of the centre.
  • Supernumerary as this will enable you to run the nursery effectively from a pedagogical and business perspective.
  • Leading the team of practitioners to deliver outstanding teaching following the EYFS & Montessori method whilst ensuring the business model delivered is sustainable and profitable.

The successful Nursery Manager will have the following:

Qualifications:


  • An Early Years degree (preferred)
  • A level 3 in Early Years Practice (essential)
  • A Paediatric First Aid certificate (preferred)
  • A valid Safeguarding Lead certificate (preferred)

Knowledge & Experience:


  • Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy with a proven track record of success
  • Experience of working within and implementing the EYFS statutory framework
  • Experience of working in partnership with parents
  • Have general computer literacy and a range of IT skills
  • Experience of OFSTED inspections or other inspections/legal bodies and their requirements within day care on nondomestic premises
  • Understanding and knowledge of the local community
  • Knowledge of child development and meeting children's needs
In return you will receive a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 pa.
