WJ Group is currently undergoing a thrilling and ambitious expansion, and you have the opportunity to play a crucial role in this journey.

As our business continues to experience rapid growth, our People Team plays a vital role in supporting and empowering our managers and their teams, comprising over 600 individuals working across diverse field, operational, and office-based positions.


About the role

Your main areas of focus will be:

  • Working with Managers and Leaders to provide guidance and advice on various employee relations matters, creating templates and tools for use across the Group.
  • Coaching, guiding, and influencing Line Managers on best practices related to a wide range of ER issues, with the option to refer to external services when needed.
  • Identifying Peoplerelated areas of risk for the Company and proposing solutions.
  • Regularly reviewing and updating company policies.
  • Supporting project delivery within the People Team when required.
  • Collaborating with the Internal Communications team to enhance our employee voice.
  • Working with the training team to deliver capability development for managers' people skills.

About you:


  • You possess proven experience in a similar role within a growing business, ideally with exposure to the construction or manufacturing sectors and/or experience with remote and operational teams
  • Qualified or actively studying towards CIPD Level 5 (preferred)
  • Ability to design clear and equitable company policies, harmonized across the Group
  • Strong problemsolving skills and a cando attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated understanding of the latest people processes in the profession and an ability to introduce a structured way of working

Up to £43,000.00 per year
