Description

We are looking for 2 part time Switchboard Operators to provide a fast and efficient telephone service on a busy telephone exchange including reception duties.

Acting as a first point of contact and as an interface between the University and the general public, you will maintain a high quality of communications and promote a positive and professional image of Aston.


It is essential to have an excellent telephone manner, communication skills, IT skills and have experience of working in customer facing role.

Experience of reception duties and working as a Telephonist on a public or large private exchange is desirable.


The two roles are:

  • 20 hours per week on a permanent basis
  • 25 hours per week on a permanent basis
