Description

The purpose of this position is to lead the Shift Operators in best and safest practices to manufacture quality electrofusion fittings.

Training new and existing operators in the best practices to manufacture quality product that meets specification


Location:
Hilcote, Derbyshire


Salary:
£31,823pa


Hours:24/7 4 on (2 days 7am-7pm, 2 nights 7pm - 7am) 4 off


The role:


  • Complete all tasks which are summarised in the Shift Operator job description (please message us for a copy of this)
  • Train new operators and roll out new procedures on your shift.
  • Assist with the delivering of onepoint lessons
  • Assist with the delivering of quality alerts
  • Assist with the creation of standard operating procedures and training out
  • Assist with risk assessment creation for operator activities
  • Contribute to process improvements
  • Ensure all operator safety checks are carried out.
  • Carry out efficient intershift communication with your counterpart at shift handovers
  • Current or previous experience in a manufacturing operations role
  • Self motivated and enthusiastic individual with good communication, interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Enthusiastic and flexible attitude, able to adapt and respond positively to change
  • A logical and systematic problemsolver, determined to solve the root cause
  • Confident in use of IT systems, ideally with some understanding of ERP systems
  • Good HSE awareness (ideally IOSH trained)
  • Experience of working with an injection mould/electrofusion process is desirable.
