Futures Recruitment are working alongside our long-standing client within the Local Authority to source a Financial Assessment Officer to join their team.

The Finance Assessment Officer is a temporary full-time role between 3-12 months. Once trained youwill have the opportunity to work from home if desired.

As Finance Assessment Officer you will be financially assessing adults for social care services for both Residential and Community Care and providing financial support to vulnerable adults and their carers.

37 hours per week

£12.72 per hour

As Financial Assessment Officer your main accountabilities will be:

Conducting financial assessments for adult social care services ensuring financial regulations and statutory obligations are met through home visits, postal and telephone correspondence
Investigate, respond to, and resolve service requests and queries ensuring operational service priorities are met
Take responsibility and ownership on areas of the service where improvements could be made
Work as part a team supporting your colleagues, mentoring Apprentices and Assistants to a high standard
Manage own workload, processing high quality information / data accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring that case notes are made and recorded to a high standard

As Financial Assessment Officer you will need:

Educated to at least GCSE level, NVQ Level 2 or experience gained in a similar or related working environment in Business administration or Finance
Full Driving Licence
Excellent communication, attention to detail and numeracy skills.
Ability to process data and financial information related to the Financial Assessments Service to support the production of management reports
Significant experience of dealing with difficult customers and conflict resolution
Significant experience in a customer service environment
