It's an incredibly exciting time at Ipsen, particularly at our manufacturing site here in Wrexham.

Ranging from business transformation, system implementations and capital investment, this naturally leads to an increase in the need for our teams to pull together to ensure we can deliver.

Not least our Corporate Finance department who now have a requirement for a
Finance Business Partner to join the team.

Working closely with a range of budget holders within Tech Ops, you will proactively support and offer relevant, timely and constructive advice during month-end and forecasting processes.

Please note this position is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

What will you be doing

  • Responsible ensuring accurate month end close process for Wrexham site working closely with both the shared service team and all budget holders
  • Ensure that all controls are operated effectively to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Proactively work with cost centre managers to ensure that they have a clear understanding of their costs and budget
  • Build strong working relationships with the cost centre managers so that the finance business partner is seen as a trusted business advisor and is able to respond proactively to the support the business needs
  • Work alongside the Head of Finance to run all the of forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Provide external auditors with information and explanations relating to the financial accounts as requested
  • Develop, Review and approve SOPs/ Work Instructions for processes of primary responsibility
  • Develop relevant KPIs and measures. Collect data, analyse, propose actions and prepare commentary to drive Financial performance.
  • Provide backup for any activities performed by other members of the Tech Ops Finance team
  • Prepare Cash flow forecasts and submit to the Group to agreed deadlines

What are we looking for

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be considered desirable.
  • Possess a natural ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • An excellent communicator someone who can use their commercial/financial acumen to lead discussions and engage across all formats in a clear and concise manner
  • Vastly experienced in business partnering and budget planning
  • An agile and dynamic mindset with the ability to quickly adjust priorities in line with evolving business requirements
  • Experience in ERP implementation and/or Capital Projects would be hugely advantageous
