School Support Officer
Cardiff
Full Time - 37 hours
Fixed Term Contract until October 2023

Essential skills:
- Experience of working within the Education Sector, Higher Education and above
- Experience of using student systems / CRMs
- Excellent organisational, planning and administrative skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to work at all levels and maintain good working relationships.
- Strong IT skills, MS Office
- University/student facing experience
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the database of enquiries, tenders submitted, local and national companies and organisations relevant to the school's areas of expertise.
- Develop CSM contact database for localised promotion of programmes and events.
- Manage, store and process confidential information appropriately and in line with University and Data Protection Policy.
- Manage and coordinate all tasks in relation to the financial management of relevant programmes, including invoicing, special payment requests, purchase orders, ISVs, cheque requisitions
- Advise and guide academic staff in all aspects of enterprise activities, providing specialist advice on relevant projects, reports and management information, ensuring compliance with all legal and financial obligations.
- Work with relevant Programme Directors to provide administrative support with the daytoday activities of the Enterprise programme/s.
- Manage programme documentation, including student handbooks and programme specifications and all other related documentation, ensuring that it is accurate and uptodate
- Prepare and manage all relevant information for the examination boards, ensuring that data has been reconciled before the board commences.
- Provide assistance and support to students regarding practical arrangements i.e. setup meetings with the Programme Directors.
- Coordinate and assist in the planning and organisation of offcampus student events
