Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Public Health Strategist to work within Hillingdon Council.


Job Purpose

  • Describe nature and levels of drug and alcohol use within Hillingdon as compared with regional, national, and statistical comparators. Health, social, crime and economic impacts and outcomes of substance use.
  • Outline the causes and risk factors which influence substance use and misuse across small areas within Hillingdon, distribution of risk factors across genders, socioeconomic, ethnic and age groups.
  • Review of the current service provision, utilisation across prevention, targeted interventions, and specialist treatment (T2,3&4) with specific focus on CJS, YOS, rough sleepers as under the Harm to Hope strategy. Present insight and evidence for the futuredesign of services for Hillingdon.
  • The post holder will have a working knowledge of Drugs and alcohol, including experience of handling requirements of OHID grant funding streams as part of the national strategy.
  • They will be skilled in stakeholder management across adults and children's services, including close working with the local drug and alcohol treatment service, mental health services, police, criminal justice, hospital and primary care leads and partnersacross the community and voluntary sector.
