Community Co-ordinator based at Stratton House, Bath

Available Hours:

Permanent - Full Time hours per week.

Based on the values of the organisation, to create within all MHA Homes an environment in which staff and volunteers are helped to offer residents opportunities to explore and pursue their personal goals, and in which the development of a therapeutic community is given a high priority.
This will include:
Development and delivery of a relevant programme of activities, including occupational and leisure opportunities, which helps to foster a sense of community within the home as well as promoting personal fulfilment and respecting the dignity and choice of the individual resident.
Recruitment, training, management and support of a group of committed, accountable and engaged volunteers.
Encouraging the local community actively and appropriately to engage with the life of the home, and to support fundraising initiatives in the Home / Hub / Community to support all of the above.
Delivering Fund Raising activities with help from the Community Fund Raising team to enable MHA to extend its care via more therapeutic support (Music and other Therapies), more care in the home/communities through Live at Home etc
