The Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for an enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to provide excellent day-to-day administrative support within our busy HR and Governance team.


The Opportunity:

This post will be based in Teviot Place initially. Note that all Usher Institute staff will move to a new building at Edinburgh Bioquarter, from early 2024.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Good standard of general education, including SVQ level 3 in Business and Administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, respect and confidentiality.
  • Ability to organise time effectively, prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • Flexible approach, excellent team player, ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience in handling confidential information.
