Administrator - Transport
Rochdale
£22,000 - £24,000 per annum, Negotiable
Hours: 9am - 5pm
My client, a multi sited family run transport company, established for over 100 years are looking to recruit a new Administrator to join their team at Rochdale.
Working in a busy, fun and lively office, your duties will include:
- Working mainly on the inhouse Traffic Management System and our Network Partners Systems, following through deliveries to their end destination
- Inputting traffic jobs on to the Traffic Management System
- Liaising internally with the Traffic Department with regard to any changes or updates to the system (e.g. pallet quantities or date changes)
- Entering non conformances on the Intranet System for any failures
- Assisting the Transport Team with producing Manifest and Labels when required
- Processing and uploading proof of deliveries
- Ongoing liaison with our internal transport and warehouse teams together with external network partners and subcontractors
Who we are looking for:
- Ideally experienced in a similar transport administration role
- Selfmotivated and forward thinking
- A friendly and professional demeanour
- Excellent communication skills
- Selfmotivated
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and customer needs
- Ability to carry out a wide range of tasks, plan and prioritise effectively
- Ability to challenge the team's current processes and utilise the internal IT Department to find moreeffective working methods
