Milk Education is working with an exceptional primary school in Oldham who are looking for an outstanding Teaching Assistant to work between the hours of 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monoday-Friday.

The ideal person for the role will need to be really flexible asit may be a combined role, such as working with different age groups, as a general teaching assistant but also with 1:1.

The role will involve support with children with challenging behaviours and SEND needs, so ideally experience with this, will be ideal.


We are looking for creative individuals to contribute to the progression and support having ideally supported those with special educational needs.


Responsibilities:


  • Previous experience working with children, or young adults, with ASD and complex needs.
  • Provide onetoone and group interventions for children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities.
  • Supporting the development of individual education and behavior plans facilitating pupil progress and raising attainment in targeted areas.
  • Providing regular to pupils and teachers on achievements and objectives.
  • Monitoring pupils' responses and progress to learning activities and interventions whilst acknowledging methods to facilitate pupils' progress and achieve intended learning outcomes.
  • Managing time effectively to assist and support pupils.
  • Creating positive relationships with colleagues, pupils, and parents/carers to support effective learning.

Requirements:


  • DBS Check.
  • Level 2 Qualifications in CACHE, NNEB, Education Studies, and/or experience working within a Primary School setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to monitor pupils' responses and progress to learning activities and interventions whilst acknowledging methods to facilitate pupils' progress and achieve intended learning outcomes.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to uphold policies and procedures relating to child protection, data protection, and health and safety to ensure the protection of children.
  • 5dayaweek availability
