This is a forward-thinking Special Needs school local to brighton is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join the team immediately.

This full-time position within our KS2-3 Department involves providing support to learners on a 1:1, small group, and whole-class basis.

The school caters to students aged 2 to 16 with mixed abilities and Profound and Multiple learning difficulties.

Responsibilities:

Support learners individually, in small groups, and in wholeclass settings.
Create a warm, caring, and supportive environment for students, fostering a sense of safety and enjoyment in their learning journey.
Contribute to delivering highquality, challenging, and tailored educational activities that align with a diverse and comprehensive curriculum.
Aim to help pupils reach their full potential across all areas of learning.
Support KS1-KS3 SEN learners on a 1:1, small group, and classroom basis
Communicate with parents and carers regarding pupils' progress, and actively participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and wholeschool training events.

Requirements:

Relevant childcare experience (voluntary or paid) (Must be able to provide references)
Experience working or volunteering with SEN (desirable)
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
Eligibility to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided)
Enhanced DBS
Relevant experience/knowledge of UK SEN settings (desirable)
