Description

Following school polices, you will be tasked with keeping the children engaged in their learning while dealing with any possible issues that may arise.

Previous cover supervisor or supply teacher experience is desirable but we will also consider anyone with a passion for helping children with their education.

This role is full time and long term, starting ASAP.


COVER SUPERVISOR DUTIES INCLUDE:


  • Delivering work that has been preset by the class teacher.
  • Managing the behaviour of pupils to ensure they are kept on track with the preset work.
  • Responding to any questions from pupils during the lesson.
  • Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school's policies and procedures.
  • Reporting back any issues using the schools' policies on the behaviour of pupils during the class and any issues arising.

YOU WILL NEED:


  • To have excellent communication skills.
  • To be confident leading a classroom environment with a large group of pupils, some of whom may display challenging behaviour.
  • To have previous experience working with, coaching or volunteering with children.
