Description
My client, a local authority based in West London are looking for a Planning Enforcement Officer within their Enforcement team.
You will be brought in to provide a high level service for the investigation of alleged breaches of planning control.
You will be joining as a Planning Enforcement Officer in a growing team who are looking to expand their staffing levels by adding new members of staff to handle a high backlog of cases in a busy service.
Duties for the Planning Enforcement Officer role will be:
- To support the delivery of an efficient, effective and customer focussed Planning Service.
- To take responsibility for carrying out a high volume of inspections on alleged breaches of planning control, recognising breaches of planning control and making preliminary decisions on expediency and appropriate course of action.
- Responsible for producing case closure notes for senior officers where breaches of planning control have not been identified or in instances where it is not deemed expedient to progress a formal investigation.
