In preparation for what's anticipated to be another busy ecological survey season starting in Spring 2024, we are looking for some additional support to assist with resourcing within one of our Ecology Teams based at our Lockington office.

The contract is for an initial 6-month fixed term basis and is a desk-based role.


Central to the role will be the scheduling of a wide variety of ecological surveys from March-October for a team of around 20 staff, whilst also working collaboratively with the other ecology teams.

Other tasks integral to the role include arranging access for surveys, the maintenance and monitoring of survey equipment, uploading survey data, and assistance with the production of risk assessments.

In addition, the role will include some more general administration tasks within the Ecology teams and across the practice such as preparing fee proposals.


We are looking for someone with a bright and positive personality, who has excellent interpersonal skills and is good working as part of a team.

Great organisational skills are a must


The role would involve:

  • Ecology survey scheduling
  • Access and hotel arrangements
  • Maintenance and monitoring of work equipment, ensuring it is ready to be used for ecology surveys.
  • Assistance with Health and Safety.
  • Administrative support to the Lockingtonbased Ecology Teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good problemsolving ability.
  • Experience in an administration role.
  • A bright and positive personality with a "can do" attitude.
  • Have good IT skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Sheets
  • Be a team player
  • Good organisational skills
  • Experience or interest in Ecology and Wildlife Protection, would be desirable.

The Working Hours:


This is ideally a full-time role between the hours of 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, for 35 hours per week however, part-time working between 11am and 5pm would be considered.


What you can expect in return:

Salary:
£22,000 per annum pro rata.
