An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Team Administrator to provide support to the Reconnect Team. The post will be based at either Westminster House (Nottingham) or Heatherdene (Mansfield).

Applicants will need to have good general IT skills, be competent with data inputting, familiar with the use of excel and spread sheets have general clerical and administration skills, be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

The Reconnect Service works with individuals who are ordinarily resident in Nottingham.

The service has bases in HMP Ranby, HMP Nottingham and at community sites in the City and County (this post will be located in a community setting).


The Reconnect Service seeks to improve the continuity of care of vulnerable people leaving prison by working with them before they leave and support their transition to community-based services.

The Reconnect Service aims to increase access to and uptake up of healthcare or relevant support services for individuals who have health vulnerabilities upon release from prison or immigration removal centres who would otherwise struggle to engage.

The administrator will work closely with the Reconnect Team.

This role requires day-to-day provision of an efficient, comprehensive and confidential secretarial and administrative service to our Reconnect Service, together we all make the difference.

Please note that this post may not meet the pay and skill level required for a Skilled worker visa


Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of Agenda for Change Band 3.

This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

We are looking for a Team Administrator to join our Reconnect Service.

This post will allow the successful applicant the opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team providing support to prisoners whilst in prison and transitioning back into the community.

As a Band 3 Administrator, you will be expected to act as secretarial and administrative support including, but not limited to:

  • To undertake administrative and secretarial work as required by the team.
  • Providing cover and support, working as a team.
  • To deal efficiently with all correspondence, monitoring telephone enquiries and providing information as appropriate.
  • To type and compose letters, memoranda and other documentation as required.
  • Using Microsoft Excel produce reports, graphs and charts as requested.
  • Support referral management.
  • To convene and attend regular meetings as required, producing agendas and accurate minutes, making all necessary arrangements, including the collation of papers and agenda item.
  • Data collection to support Team Manager's monthly reporting and support completion of the service quarterly Key Performance Indicators report.
  • To order stock and non stock items as required.
  • To timely input, update maintain information and resolve queries on the patient database.
  • Undertake office duties, including filing, photocopying, dealing with incoming/outgoing mail. Dealing with all telephone calls and associated duties in an efficient and timely manner.
  • To undertake any other duties that would be a reasonable expectation of the role
