Our renowned client is a much-loved Scottish brand based in Central Edinburgh. They are recruiting for a Finance Manager to play an integral role in their leadership team.

This is an interim position for 9 months role and offers a great opportunity to joinan established and successful function in a rewarding environment.

You will be instrumental in enabling the smooth and efficient running of the finance function. You'll be involved in preparing monthly finance reports and communicating with a variety of people in the business.

Job
The role of Finance Manager will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and providing commentary
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts
  • Producing informative reports and MI
  • Supporting the leadership team and ensuring all finance information is communicated effectively, including at Board level
  • Working with department heads to review budget performance and challenge when necessary
  • Taking responsibility for audit process and ensuring compliance
  • Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time
  • Liaising with investors
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Developing and nurturing the finance team

You
As Finance Manager you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:

  • Accountancy qualification (ACCA, ICAS or CIMA)
  • Previous charity experience
  • Existing experience at management accountant level
  • Superb relationship building skills
  • Advanced Excel
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Must be selfmotivated with a proactive approach to work
