Monday - Thursday 08:30-17:00 and Friday 08:30-15:00
Based in Nottingham
We are looking for a Chemical Process Engineerto join an expanding chemical manufacturing business that supply to the coatings, healthcare, electronics and energy storage manufacturing sectors.
As a young and progressive business, they are focused on metalorganic frameworks and several of their R&D initiatives are linked to the fight against climate change by enabling more energy efficient carbon capture.
Chemical Process Engineer
- Ensuring the systematic implementation, deployment and upkeep of standard operating procedures, change management processes and risk assessments across the facility are safe and compliant.
- Assessing all new and existing manufacturing processes and workflows including hazardous area assessments.
- Leading the safe installation and operation of new CAPEX equipment (from R&D to industrial scale) including the identification and implementation of required ancillary services.
- Providing the design and implementation of best working practises for new and existing processes in addition to HSE leadership.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement processes.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting alongside external experts to improve and document operating procedures when required.
- Lead the shipping/distribution of manufactured products ensuring compliance to all export and transport regulations.
- Assisting in the implementation of the quality management system that will support the increasing complexity of the customer base and requirements.
- Coordinate inspections and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and parts.
- Working with high pressure and temperature tubing and fittings using a hands on approach.
- Aid in the diagnosis and optimisation of plant raw material efficiency e.g., waste generation.
Chemical Process Engineer
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualification Required:
- Chemical engineering degree or similar
- Several years' experience working in chemical manufacturing or Oil and Gas
- Experience using chemical manufacturing tools, techniques and procedures.
- Previous experience using continuous flow equipment fort chemical synthesis is advantageous.
