Description

As a cook, you will be required to:

  • Prepare, cook and serve wholesome, nutritious meals for our residents following a four weekly rotating menu
  • Cater for special dietary requirements
  • Ensure food is stored correctly and in accordance with food hygiene legislation
  • Minimise waste levels
  • Ensure all temperature records are kept up to date along with cleaning rotas and all food safety requirements
  • Minimise waste and adhere to the company's policies and procedures.
  • Supervise kitchen assistants, order stock/ manage kitchen,
  • Ensure that preparation areas, fridges and kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times,

Experience Required -

  • Experience as a nursing/care home cook
  • Have knowledge of varied dietary requirements
  • Level 2 in Food Hygiene qualification essential

Working Hours
hours over 3 or 4 days on alternate weeks. (Average 24.5 hours per week)

  • Shifts 7.30am till 3.00pm
  • Alternate weekend shifts required.
