Data Protection & Compliance Assistant to join the Legal team.
About the role
You'll assist the Head of Assurance, Risk and Compliance, the Data Privacy team in ensuring high standards of legal compliance within HEINEKEN UK (HUK) and our Star Pubs function.
You'll play a visible and leadership role in the delivery of the HUK compliance strategy which underpins our corporate reputation and license to operate.
This role will also support the efficient and effective operation of the UK Legal team through the use and development of accurate controls, processes, and reporting.
Key aspects of this role will include:
Data Protection & Compliance Matters:- Play a key role in the delivery of the HUK compliance strategy which gives you the opportunity to partner with a broad range of stakeholders across all areas of the business.
- Be responsible for a range of compliancerelated activities including the monitoring of entries within the HUK Gift Register as well as supporting the Head of Assurance, Risk and Compliance in any internal investigations.
Document Management:
Own the management of various HUK document repositories including shared filing systems, UK Legal Team trackers, contract management and storage software.
In addition, ensure the timely production of minutes and the follow-up of actions across a range of compliance forums including the Star Pubs Compliance Cabinet, the Risk Cabinet and GDPR SteerCo.
Who we're looking for
This role may be attractive to someone who has, or is considering undertaking, a paralegal qualification, but this isn't a mandatory requirement.
The role holder will be comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial team and interacting with a range of stakeholders across the business and the handling of sensitive and confidential information.
Ideally, the role holder will understand relevant Data Privacy laws and recognise the importance of document retention to support the discharge of our compliance obligations.
