Description

We are looking for a person with lived experience to join our Democratic Therapeutic Community Delivery team as a Service User Consultant.

To attend the DTC group weekly.

To attend weekly team meetings and/or staff group supervision.

To help create and maintain a therapeutic community culture in the service.

To assist and facilitate the healthy management of conflict within the DTC.

To work with other staff and group members to help to develop and maintain the DTC structure and culture


To bring lived experience of personality difficulties in order to help bridge communication and engagement between the staff delivery team and group members.

To act as a role model within the group and maintain ground rules.

To help when group struggles or problems arise, working with the feelings these difficulties can evoke and use lived experience to understand feedback and it's impact


To assist in developing the work of the DTC throughout GMMH, through representation of the service user's voice in presentations, training events, service management and other means as agreed.

To participate in regular clinical supervision and attendance the relevant DTC meetings including team meetings

To attend relevant training courses.
