My client, a leading global freight forwarder and provider of global supply chain solutions, has a brand new opening for a Commercial Executive.


You would be working within the Sales Team with a great bunch of people who work cohesively and who are friendly and sociable.


We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual that wants to develop their sales career and take charge of a new function within the existing BD team.


There is genuine scope for career progression because as the business grows, you could move into a supervisory role with responsibility for recruiting and managing a Commercial Support.


The role will be a hybrid of sales support, product development and inside sales and will require someone willing to take ownership of the position and drive it forward, working closely with the BD team to help develop and improve our services capabilitiesand success.

You will be based our Fazeley office, alongside a great team of freight professionals.


This is a great opportunity for someone with an operations background looking to take on a more commercial role, or from a more traditional sales support role looking to expand their skill set or put their full ability to the test.

We are offering a competitive salary + benefits (Midlands based), negotiable for the right individual and experience.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead sourcing, qualification and initial Customer contact

  • Managing correspondence between sales team and client base
  • Monitoring customer accounts
  • Providing data and reports to analyse sales performance
  • Keeping track of sales targets
  • Scheduling diaries
  • Investigate new supplier options for differing modes and lanes
  • Completing spot quotes and tariffs
  • Support and take part in RFQ/tenders
  • Measuring spot quote success
  • CRM management
  • Marketing engagement
  • Collaboration with product and procurement teams to support core Noatum services and trade lanes

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience within the freight forwarding/logistics sector
  • Very commercially focused
  • Selfstarter, motivated and driven
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Organised
