Overview:

A locally based business are looking to appoint a Bookkeeper to undertake to commence this assignment immediately.

This position will be a sole charge role, but there will be support and training as part of the onboarding process.

This position will be a fully immersive position providing a lot of variety within the position itself.

There is an opportunity that this position could be made permanent for the right individual.


Responsibilities will include:


  • Bookkeeping for UK operation
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Processing and reviewing purchase and sales invoices
  • Management accounting preparation of weekly reports and monthly accounts
  • Credit control
  • Purchase & Sales Ledger management including arranging payments
  • Month end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Managing and processing staff expense claims
  • Month end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of expenses, bank accounts and credit card statements

The successful Bookkeeper will have:


  • All round accounts knowledge up to trial balance working either as a Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant.
  • Intermediate / advanced skills in Excel
  • Good experience with preparing UK VAT returns
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Sage
