Are you an SEN Support Worker looking to continue your fantastic work at an SEMH school in South Birmingham.

An exciting SEN Support Worker role has become available, working with pupils with Autism, SEMH needs and challenging behaviour in KS3 and KS4.

The SEN Support Worker:


To be eligible for this SEN Support Worker role, you must have experience working with children and young adults with complex learning needs, communication difficulties and SEMH needs.

You should be an SEN Support Worker with great communication skills anda resilient, understanding personality.

You should hold a Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning Qualification, or a similar Level 3 qualification relevant to the role of SEN Support Staff.


The SEN Support Worker Role:


As an SEN Support Worker, you will primarily be providing 1:1 support for a pupil in KS4 with Autism and complex learning needs.

The pupil struggles with engaging with their classes, so you will need to support them both in and out of the classroom.

You willwork alongside the pastoral team to ensure the pupil's wellbeing is supported and that behaviour is monitored and effectively managed.

As an SEN Support Worker, you will also be expected to engage with other aspects of school life where required.
