About the Role:

In partnership with Canvey Island Primary Care Network (PCN), GP Healthcare Alliance (a federation of GP Practices in Castle Point and Rochford) is hosting an innovative service to recruit a dedicated Practice Based Paramedic to the network.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed full time Practice Based Paramedic to join our PCN. You will work across all surgeries within our Network.

This is a full-time post working 37.

5 hours per week covering the Canvey Island Primary Care Network which is made up of the following practices:

Oaklands Surgery
Third Avenue Doctor's Surgery
The Island Surgery
The Surgery, Hawkesbury Road
The Community Practice
Canvey Village Surgery

The appropriate individual will be a qualified and registered paramedic with experience in an acute response/emergency setting.

You will need to be confident to triage, take comprehensive history, examine, diagnose and treat/refer for a range of minor injuries/illnesses/infections as required.

Working knowledge of SystmOne would be advantageous as would experience of ordering and interpreting tests on ICE.

You will have/be:

Educated to degree/diploma level in Paramedicine or equivalent experience.
Healthcare Professional with an active registration with the relevant regulatory bodies.
Completed two years 'consolidation of learning' period as a newly qualified paramedic.
A minimum of three years' experience as a band 6 (equivalent) paramedic.
Is working towards developing masters level or equivalent capability in paramedic areas of practice and has completed and been signed off formally within the clinical pillar competencies of the paramedic FCP/AP roadmap to practice.
Experience of working as a senior Healthcare Professional undertaking home visits and/or experience in an emergency setting or clinic base.
