About the Role:
In partnership with Canvey Island Primary Care Network (PCN), GP Healthcare Alliance (a federation of GP Practices in Castle Point and Rochford) is hosting an innovative service to recruit a dedicated Practice Based Paramedic to the network.
This is a full-time post working 37.
5 hours per week covering the Canvey Island Primary Care Network which is made up of the following practices:
- Oaklands Surgery
- Third Avenue Doctor's Surgery
- The Island Surgery
- The Surgery, Hawkesbury Road
- The Community Practice
- Canvey Village Surgery
You will need to be confident to triage, take comprehensive history, examine, diagnose and treat/refer for a range of minor injuries/illnesses/infections as required.
You will have/be:
- Educated to degree/diploma level in Paramedicine or equivalent experience.
- Healthcare Professional with an active registration with the relevant regulatory bodies.
- Completed two years 'consolidation of learning' period as a newly qualified paramedic.
- A minimum of three years' experience as a band 6 (equivalent) paramedic.
- Is working towards developing masters level or equivalent capability in paramedic areas of practice and has completed and been signed off formally within the clinical pillar competencies of the paramedic FCP/AP roadmap to practice.
- Experience of working as a senior Healthcare Professional undertaking home visits and/or experience in an emergency setting or clinic base.

We work with local NHS clinicians in the delivery of the services, thereby supporting the retention of strength and depth within the local NHS clinical teams.
- Over 8 years delivering NHS contracts at scale across Essex
- Serving close to 300,000 patients across 5 Primary Care Networks
- Delivering weekend Wound Care services
- We delivered "hot hubs" during the Coronavirus pandemics first wave, deliver Covid Vaccinations and booster campaigns
- Online Training Academy is due to be launched in early 202
- We care Our charity work includes collaborating with the Rotary Clubs to collect food bank donations as well as collecting used bra's for breast cancer research and compiling Christmas gift boxes for the homeless
- At an inspection of our head offices we were rated "outstanding" by the CQC for being such a "well led" organisation, this year
