Wonderful opportunity to work within the intensive care transport team hosted by Birmingham and Women and Children's Hospital NHS.

Senior role within the KIDSNTS team - working across both teams KIDS and NTS


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced intensive care nurse to enhance and develop their skills in Critical Care education.

Providing in house and Regional level 3 education.

The successful applicant will be a registered nurse, with a recognised intensive care nursing qualification. They will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for intensive care transport medicine.


KIDSNTS is an innovative regional transport and advice service dedicated to the management of critically ill infants and children in the Midlands.

Teams of specially trained Doctors, Advanced Practitioners and Nurses are available 24 hours a day to transport babies and children to intensive care, paediatric and neonatal units or other ward areas.

The post holder will establish and maintain an effective clinical educational environment within KIDSNTS & The WM region that supports staff in the delivery of safe, high quality, evidence-based care to infants, children, young people and their families


The post holder will offer and develop programmes of training and education that facilitate the on-going professional development for all levels of nursing and clinical workforce.

The post holder will act as an expert resource, demonstrating high standards of care and clinical expertise in the delivery of Paediatric/Neonatal Critical Care


The post holder will be expected to maintain a high clinical profile working 20% of their time in the clinical environment supporting and developing staff and contributing to the clinical service need.


Ensure education is delivered to support the National Paediatric framework and the West Midlands Paediatric Critical Care Network and the West Midlands Neonatal Network.
