The Team works flexibly both from Home and in the Office, based in central Brighton a short walk from the sea.

About the role:


The HR Systems team are a small group of problem-solvers and Business Objects report-writers with the responsibility for the day to day running of our HR/Payroll system (iTrent) and providing customer support for technical queries.

This includes liaison with the software supplier and system maintenance.


Alongside this work, we play an important role in delivering improvements by testing system upgrades, creating system builds, improving business processes, and participating in projects to deliver new systems modules and integrations.

You and the team will also fulfil reoccurring and ad-hoc reporting requests.

As the Technical Delivery Officer, you will:

  • Support first line users of our HR / Payroll System, iTrent. This includes, problem solving, investigating technical issues, escalating cases to our software provider and monitoring fault resolution.
  • Support the team with user acceptance testing as part of our regular version releases.
  • Developing reports for a wide range of different purposes, including but not limited to payroll vetting, statutory returns and ad hoc customer requests.
  • Support the Senior Technical Delivery Officers on system improvement projects and implementing process improvements.
  • Work with a wide range of different teams and stakeholders including HR, Payroll, project teams, and IT developers.

You'll be someone who:

  • Has experience in the administration of a HR and Payroll database (iTrent is an advantage)
  • Has experience or is familiar with software testing and maintenance.
  • Has experience of reporting tools such as Excel, Business Objects, Power BI or similar products.
  • Understands information governance and data handling.

Additional information:

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
