Advancing People are assisting our Bedford client in the recruitment of a Communications Co-ordinator to join their team. This role will be paying up to £30,000 depending on experience with a 10% performance bonus.
No two days are ever the same in this small but agile communications team.

This role will play an important part in supporting the activities carried out by the UK Corporate Communications team, developing and enhancing the corporate brand in the UK, ensuringvarious publics - as well as our colleagues - know and understand the value this company in the UK creates for society through innovation across our six key business fields, from photography to healthcare.


Key impact of role

  • Support the daily activities of the Corporate Communications team across external and internal projects
  • Ensure regular and effective communication to colleagues that supports the company's vision, mission and values
  • Assist in creating a greater public understanding of the activities in the UK beyond photography, particularly its impact on the healthcare environment and innovating for a healthier world
  • Help to sustain effective relationships with external stakeholders such as working with charity partners, local initiatives, media and others
  • Support the Corporate division in maintaining close alignment with marketing communications activities undertaken by other UK teams, supporting the successful delivery of crossdivisional marketing and communications projects to help tell the whole companystory

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of UK Corporate campaigns and activities with external partners such as charities and corporate partners on local and national levels
  • Developing and optimising a content plan for the UK's corporate social media sites (primarily LinkedIn and Twitter)
  • Developing and maintaining the new UK & Ireland intranet, in liaison with Europe Corporate Communications and web/digital teams
  • Enhancing the UK's local reputation and promoting our new office as a facility available to community stakeholders
  • Assist the UK Corporate Communications team to maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including local media and government bodies
  • Support the coordination of events, exhibitions and seminars
  • Regular reporting and analysis of internal communications projects and press activity where appropriate
  • Continue to build and support the development of internal communications activities in liaison with the Head of Human Resources and HR team where necessary
  • Oversee the creation and production of content for both external and internal use, across literature, artwork, presentations and video utilising design skills and/or with external agencies
  • Previous communications/marketing experience or qualification in marketing or business management
  • Highly organised with strong planning skills
  • Excellent communications skills telephone, verbal and written
  • Confident & personable with a cando attitude
  • Adaptable, flexible, and motivated to learn new tasks and processes quickly
  • Strong PC skills
  • Confident communicating at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent networking skills, along with strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Engaging writing skills and excellent grammar, with experience of copy writing and proof reading.
  • An instinct for what great communication looks like
  • Driving licence
