Shift:_4 days per week, working 46 hours per week, 7-7 days / nights_**
Contract:_Permanent_**
Salary:_ £12.74 per hour_**We have an opportunity for a Skilled Warehouse Operative to join our Team at Kara Foodservice as part of Finsbury Food Group.

Established in 1985, Kara offers a wide range of quality sweet and savoury bakery products, including both gourmet butter and vegan brioche buns, doughballs and teacakes.

The Kara Bakery can bake over 1 million baps and burger buns every day.


This is what you'll actually do


As the Warehouse Operative you will work with the other members of the team handling stock internally circa 1500 pallets per week, dispatching approximately 60 vehicles weekly to different locations.

Therefore, you will be able to communicate and demonstrate working positively. You will be also proactive with ability to take responsibility and accountability for your role.

You will be responsible for stock taking and managing stock rotation including moving pallets within freezer environment ensuring all pallets have full traceability with all relevant paperwork filled in on time and passed to relevant departments.

The role will also involve correct loading and unloading of vehicles and transacted correctly using hand held scanner system and that full start-up checks of all MHE are completed.

You will ensure that Health & Safety, Food Safety, Legality & Quality Systems are adhered to at all times.

To be successful in this role, you will have pride in your work and the ability to complete a task from start to finish.


Ideally this is you

  • Reliable and comitted with a proven good work ethic
  • Flexibility with ability to work overtime to support the team
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Reach or Counterbalance certification and experience essential
  • PPT desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of M3 or other ERP system desirable
  • GCSE Maths or equivalent desirable
