Assistant Development Manager - Large National Housing Association - About The Client:
Castlefield Recruitment are working with a large National Housing Association to appoint a permanent Assistant Development Manager within their Yorkshire and North East region.
This role is part of a steadily growing region with exciting aims for furtherexpansion. You will be exposed to an exciting mix of land led, direct delivery, package deals and contracting opportunities. The position offers up to £37,000 per annum plus £4,800 car allowance. Further benefits include an annual bonus, excellent holidayand sick pay entitlement, and matched contribution pension plan.Assistant Development Manager - Large National Housing Association - About The Role:
- To provide support to the development team across a range of projects and across all development functions and workstreams.
- To establish and maintain relationships with key internal customers, stakeholders, contractors, consultants, service providers and development partners.
- To contribute to and where appropriate negotiate terms for appointment and ongoing management of consultants, contractors and other suppliers.
- To contribute to the identification and appraisal of development opportunities, working with the Development Team in Placemaking and Regen establishing their suitability and viability.
- To contribute to and where appropriate negotiate terms for the acquisition of land or property and to assist in managing the purchase process.
- To contribute to the effective identification and management of risk.
- To assist with and undertake the preparation of business cases/bid submissions/reports.
- To prepare project budgets and monitor/control expenditure.
- To project manage identified individual developments, maintaining project programmes working with the team to ensure the project remains on programme and mitigating risk factors.
- To manage consultant teams consisting of a wide range of disciplines to design and deliver high quality schemes which meet the groups required hurdle rates.
- Assemble, collate and communicate information relating to development projects and the development programme for internal and external use.
- Assist in producing public relations and marketing information and arranging related events.
Assistant Development Manager - Large National Housing Association - What You Need:
- Knowledge of Homes England and land buying experience is desirable but not essential
- Experience of delivering large scale mixeduse tenure housing projects
- Good persuasion, influencing and negotiation skills
- Experience of working in a customerfocused environment
