About the Role

***The role will involve developing, managing and/or co-ordinating projects and process improvement activities across the V&V team's Research Activities, including agreeing project parameters and objectives, developing project plans and then being responsible for monitoring progress, ensuring project milestones and delivery timescales are met, consulting and communicating with staff in an appropriate manner, problem solving, budget monitoring and managing expenditure within agreed limits, designing and creating information databases, liaising with appropriate contacts in WMG and outside the department, conducting analysis, evaluating project outcomes and providing regular reports to the WMG Professor.


The role involves providing high level administrative support for the team, including arranging and co-ordinating high-profile events with industry and policy stakeholders in the UK and worldwide.

This would also include organising and managing formal conferences, workshops, networking events and seminars on behalf of WMG and external organisations, responsible for deciding dates, catering, timetabling, agendas, tours, logistics, exhibiters, speakers (>100 delegates, 15 academic presenters and external keynote speakers).


You will need to prioritise and deal with visit and meeting requests and incoming communications, diary management; creating, issuing and ensuring timely dispatch of communications; arranging travel; liaising with senior colleagues both internal and external.


Meeting communications:
drafting and circulating agendas, preparing relevant material for meetings, taking minutes and actions of the meeting.

The role does not require a technical understanding of the work, but an interest in and enthusiasm for innovation, research and technology would be beneficial.

Attention to detail will be a key aspect of this role, along with having a delivery mindset.

You will be involved in delivering impactful research that is brining about a positive change in the society.
