Murphy and Sons are keen to hear from you Due to continued contract wins we require a Quality Advisor to join the team, we're looking for an experienced specialist who can add value to ensure the project meets quality standards and systems required.


What you will be doing

  • Establish and promote best practice in quality matters in conjunction with the Quality function.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to educate the engineering community on site to achieve better quality.
  • Ensure that all personnel are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities, and to provide advice as and when required.
  • Assist management teams to ensure compliance with all requirements stipulated in the Quality Plans.
  • Carry out regular inspections of sites and work places to find whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures and other stated requirements.
  • Collate Business / Contract Quality statistics in a timely manner and submit to the Quality Management and Quality function for reporting purposes.
  • Review Quality information to identify trends and areas for improvement. Develop and implement Quality campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with the Quality Management.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of project Quality documents including those of 3rd parties.
  • Provide support to Project teams in the development of Quality Plans.
  • Review Quality plans, procedures and associated documentation.
  • Identify significant Quality issues for contracts / yards and help setup contracts / yards to include appropriate controls.
  • Maintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with Company procedures and Contract Requirements.
  • Provide reports, presentations and information as directed by the Business / Quality Management.
  • Carry out site inductions and other training as required.
  • Support the Business / Quality Management in the delivery of the Audit Programme.
  • Provide input into prequalification, tender and Quality award submissions.

Who we are looking for

  • Civil engineering knowledge and experience would be advantageous
  • Relevant Quality membership (CQI) or working towards membership
  • Auditor certified to ISO 9001:2015 with an understanding of the standard and experienced in auditing
  • Understanding of Non-Conformance reporting with Root Cause Analysis
