A top international law firm is looking to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager for a truly international role, based in the Financial Markets International Practice Group, where you will work strategically and tactically to plan, deliver and leadinnovative, incisive and value-added business development strategies, ensuring key objectives in the firm's business plans are achieved.


Operating at the highest levels within the firm, the role holder will be part of a transformative marketing and business development team and will help to build an integrated, innovative and happy function, bringing best practice, ideas and challenge andensuring the activities and approaches of the function are consistently implemented.

You will work collaboratively to shape and lead the firm's approach to the development of key client relationships and co-develop incisive business development initiativesthat drive revenue and profit, build relationships and strengthen the firm's reputation.

The role will involve day-to-day functional and project management of a small team, including leading, managing, motivating and developing the team and ensuring good distributionof know-how.

You will need to develop a high level of knowledge about the type of legal advice and services offered by the Financial Markets IPG, as you will be a key source of knowledge about the work of the team.

Keeping abreast of developments in financialmarkets, the Senior Business Development Manager will work with the IPG Head to develop and drive the implementation of a strategic, forward-looking business plan, in alignment with firm strategy, with a particular focus on the internationalisation of thepractice and will allocate a budget for activities to help deliver on this plan.

You will be responsible for generating and developing a strong pipeline of work across the practice in the UK and internationally, advising stakeholders in relation to best practiceand best approach to practice-specific bids and pitches and helping to implement client development strategy.

On the marketing side, the successful applicant will be required to track and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Youwill work with Marketing Team Leads to identify and effectively action opportunities to raise the firm's profile, including the development and maintenance of creative content and collateral and thought leadership campaigns, and will oversee the directorysubmissions process.
