About the department:

Our Woven Fabrics department is responsible for the manufacture of a wide variety of technical têxtiles.

We have a vertically integrated production department producing fabrics with end uses ranging from parachutes to firefighter turnout gear, to electric vehicle and aircraft composites.


The Sales Administrator plays a critical part in the sales team, which has a global customer base with a highly diverse product range.


Purpose of the role:


To manage, control and prioritise the process of the department's sales orders from receipt to final dispatch to the customer, liaising with other departments as required to gain the information needed to achieve delivery on time.


Skills and experience:


  • Coordinating and processing customer orders and liaising with customers on a daily basis
  • Raising new weaving and finishing orders, and the subsequent management of necessary production planning functions to achieve delivery on time.
  • Numeracy skills are essential to provide accurate calculations for customer quotations.
  • Managing the administrative work necessary for any customer complaints.
  • Dealing with credit control enquiries as appropriate.
  • Creating monthly sales forecasts for the WIS sales teams to aid with the sales management function.
  • Suitable Microsoft Office experience including Word and Excel to produce reports for the WIS team ie. stock status, sales analysis, cost analysis and market research information.
