We are looking for an enthusiastic Tool Hire Assistant to join our Jewson Tool Hire Department in Farnham (GU9 9NS)


This role will focus on our
Tool Hire Department by building relationships with new clients and promoting the tool hire offer in our branch.

This role has a strong focus on customer service and requires a proactive and confident approachin order to promote and build our excellent tool hire offer.

You may also be required to do some delivery and collection of our equipment for our customers.


We're a busy and well established branch with a substantial
Tool Hire Department and our friendly team pride themselves on offering a great service and excellent product knowledge.

This role would be great for someone with existing toolhire experience who wants to move into a more sales based role

Beneficial but not essential experience we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working within a tool/plant hire role
  • Previous experience in a proactive sales role
  • An understanding of tools and their workings
  • Passion for delivering great customer service
  • Selfmotivated and able to work on own initiative as part of a team
  • A full clean driving license

Hours of work: 7:30am-17:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am-12:00pm every other Saturday

What will I be doing?_


As this role has a strong focus on sales, we are looking for someone who loves to build relationships with customers and proactively generate sales both face to face and over the phone.

In order to support our customers and deliver a great service you will;

  • Develop great relationships with new and existing customers, both face to face and over the phone
  • Understand your customers tool hire needs in order to provide proactive advice and solutions
  • Be a direct support to the Tool Hire Manager and other members of the team
  • Ensure all customer orders are fulfilled in a timely fashion
  • Use our inhouse systems to process customer orders and keep accurate records of maintenance
  • Be available for delivery/collection of hire equipment
