Spinwell is recruiting for a Communications Officer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
As Communications Officer you'll be responsible communicating the work of our personnel in a clear and engaging way, using newsletters, our intranet, media releases, and by responding to media queries.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
- Worked in a professional communications role
- Understands Comms as a profession
- Has worked in a complex organisation
- Can hit ground running without training
- Writing experience
- Able to evaluate the impact of comms and determine reasons/points to each comms
- Public or private sector experience fine.
- Previous defence experience would be nice to have as might help them understand technical jargon.
- Able to explain complex things in plain English
- Stakeholder Management
- Change Comms experience
- Qualifications/membership of professional body are nice to have but professional comms experience more important.
- Excellent writing skills including production of articles, features, media releases and editing and copywriting experience
- Experience in a communications or related environment, with direct experience of managing communications activities.
- Experience of planning and delivering, often under time pressure
- Understanding of how metrics and evidence can be used to improve outcomes
- Proactive team player with the ability to work on a variety of projects at the same time.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
