Simulated patients are people who are trained to play a specific patient role which allows a health and care student to practice their communication, consultation skills and physical examination skills.

Simulated Patients are trained to realistically portray patient history, personality, physical findings and emotions of a real patient. Simulated patients act as a key stepping stone between the classroom and the clinic. They allow students practice in a safe environment before they meet 'real' patients in the clinic. Such interactions give students the valuable opportunity to practise in a safe environment.

We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic individuals from all walks of life to take part. We want our participants to accurately portray the diverse communities that we live in and actively encourage people of all ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds to get involved.
