Royal Alexandra Hospital, covering Inverclyde Royal Hospital and Vale of Leven Hospital
This post will have sessions covering across all of the Clyde Sector Breast service.


There are currently 3 WTE Consultants within the Clyde Sector Breast service and this post is being advertised to provide 12 months of locum cover.

In late autumn of 2023, the Clyde Breast Service will also have a 4th substantial Breast Consultant commencing.

Surgical trainees, at all levels, rotate from the West of Scotland Deanery and are based at the Clyde sites.

Teaching of Undergraduate medical students, trainee surgeons and visiting surgeons from overseas is considered an integral part of the work of the Sector.

It is anticipated that the appointee would contribute in a significant way to the education of Surgeons in training, using the well-equipped facilities within the Surgical Skills Laboratory.
