Nine Twenty are delighted to be working with a hugely successful manufacturer who are actively seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised individual to join their team as a
Procurement Specialist. As a crucial member of their organisation, the Procurement Specialist will play a key role in managing the procurement process to ensure the efficient operation of our supply chain. This position requires expertise in procurement principles, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to cultivate positive relationships with suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage procurement strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, costeffectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Negotiate favourable contract terms and conditions for the organisation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, monitoring and evaluating supplier performance.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify procurement needs and specifications.
- Manage the endtoend procurement process, including requisitioning, purchasing, and inventory management.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Resolve procurementrelated issues or disputes in a timely manner.
- Monitor and analyse market trends to identify potential cost savings and process improvements.
- Conduct data setup, maintenance, and cleansing. Continuously improve data management processes and systems for operational efficiency.
- Generate reports, KPIs, and ensure SLA compliance in accordance with department/company objectives.
- Support new systems implementation.
- Create and maintain SOPs and WIs relevant to the role.
Requirements:
- Desirable: Educated to degree level in a relevant field.
- Essential: Educated to a higher level, including proficiency in English and Mathematics.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP & CRM systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets.
