Applications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Radiology at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

There are two Senior Clinical Fellow posts available. Both posts are fixed term for 12 months in the first instance. This may be extendable by mutual agreement.

The posts will suit a senior radiology trainee who wants to undertake a period of service outside of their training programme and familiarise themselves with working semi-independently in a busy Radiology Department, while working towards further qualifications.

The posts are based fully at Bedford Hospital, but will be part of the recently merged Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which also includes Luton Hospital.

The department is looking for individuals who are dynamic and work well in a team and under supervision, while being able to work independently in some areas, appropriate to their level of training and experience.

The Radiology Department at Bedford Hospital provides a comprehensive imaging service, which includes plain radiography, contrast studies, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, CT, MRI, Breast Imaging and interventional radiology.

The applicant is expected to have a wide range of experience in general radiology.

The department currently has 13 Consultants, 1 Specialty Doctor and 1 Senior Clinical Fellow. With the current recruitment, we aim to increase the number of middle grade doctors to 4.
