Description

AK Teaching, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Needs Learning Support Assistant to join a reputable SEND school in North Tyneside.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide onetoone and group support to students with special educational needs.
Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans.
Support the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere to enhance the overall wellbeing of students.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
Hold a level 2/3 supporting teaching and learning qualification (preferred).
Comfortable working with students of various ages.

Skills and Qualities:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience and empathy when working with students with diverse needs.
Ability to adapt to different learning styles and provide tailored support.
Team player with a collaborative approach to working within a school environment.
